For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to see Jimmy Buffett in concert. When James told me he was going, I jumped on the chance and finally made it happen. So Saturday morning I woke up at 3:30 AM to get dressed and head to James' by our 5 AM departure. We arrived in Frisco around 8:30 with plenty of time to stop at Kroger to buy last minute supplies before heading to Pizza Hut Park for the pre-concert tailgating. I must say that there are some truly die hard fans out there and I learned a lot of lessons on what to do next time. Tiki bars and some form of motorized transportation are a must. Have you ever seen a crusin' cooler? Somehow I managed to get away without a picture of one but it was the most awesome thing I have ever seen. You don't have to worry about your drink getting warm while you are walking around. It is on ice under your butt! We made friends with our tailgating neighbors which made for an even better day. Wow...there were so many great things going on around us that I can't even think of what all I want to tell you about. So, check out the album. Post questions and I will fill you in on the rest of the story. I can tell you that Jimmy was as fantastic in concert as I had always imagined. He is someone who truly loves his job and can you blame him. It is awesome. I can't wait until he returns to the Dallas area (or Houston or San Antonio or anywhere else with in reasonable driving distance!) I will tell you that the funniest event of the day was probably post concert. We were still tailgating waiting for the traffic to die down before we headed to the hotel for the evening and this old, very drunk man drove by on a bicycle. The guy almost ran into a trailer and almost fell off the bike several times as he rode by. This prompted a discussion on whether or not you could get a DUI on a bicycle. After another pass by old drunk guy on bike, we noticed the Frisco police driving slowly in our direction. All of the sudden they stop and jump out of the cruiser and proceed to chase down drunk guy on bike. Apparently you can get a DUI on a bicycle! They didn't actually arrest him but they did make his friends take the bike away from him and take him home. All this time we were still sitting there (wishing we could take pictures) sipping our margaritas and enjoying our own personal viewing of COPS courtesy of the Frisco Police. Needless to say it was a great and the pictures prove it. So...FINS UP!!! Enjoy!Th

I have seen JB before (JazzFest baby) but not at a concert of his own. If he would just come home and play I would be so very happy!!
I'm glad you had such a good time - looks like it was a blast.
